FAQ
When it comes to foot conditions and innjuries, we are the experts. Here is a list of common questions that we recieve.
What conditions do you treat?
I treat any and all conditions of the foot and ankle, surgical or non surgical, including any pains or injuries associated with the foot and ankle.
Do you see Diabetics?
Yes! Diabetes is treated amongst many of our patients which includes diabetic wounds and preventative care
Do you treat sports injuries and fractures?
Yes! I am trained surgically in trauma and sports injuries and can surgically repair fractures and torn ligaments and tendons
When should a Diabetic make an appointment if they are concerned?
The best time is the second you have a concern. Diabetics should never wait to be seen if they have a concern for a wound or infection.
Should I spend money on over the counter foot pain products?
You should be careful what you buy over the counter because you could end up spending more than you need to on products that don’t usually help. If you have pain that hasn’t gone away, you should see a specialist to guide you in the right direction.
Can issues with your feet mean you have a more serious illness?
Definitely! Like any other part of your body, your feet can give you clues about your overall health. Changes in your feet over time or immediate will help me diagnose potential systemic illnesses
Do you take call anywhere?
Yes I have a 24 hour on call service through my practice, as well as taking call at several St. Louis area hospitals.
How long have you been performing surgery?
I have been treating conditions of the foot and ankle for around 7 years. This includes three years of residency training and four years being in practice.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
Almost always insurance covers your visit. Of course some insurance requires referrals to a specialist, and insurance coverage varies based on deductible and out of pocket maximum, but we are a covered specialty. You can also make sure we take your insurance upon calling to schedule your visit.
